Secrets of The Jersey Jump

Electric Image
Screen capture of one of the character models displayed in Electric
Image. This shows the 3D stunt model in different views, and the
texture window with some of the mapping properties.

Front Texture Painting
Texture maps shot with the Coolpix950 digital camera are 4x higher resolution
than the first unit production footage. Many of the textures were shot
between takes and the flat flash look is preferable for subsequent
painting. Additional coverage of the actor on the set in the lighting
of the shot is nice to have as well.

Elastic Reality
Screen capture in Elastic Reality. Each slow motion moment is initially prepared
as a series of detailed articulate rotoscoped elements to isolate different
areas of the shot and extend their time by actually generating frames to simulate
high-speed cinematography.

After Effects
Screen capture in After Effects. Every shot is composited in AE,
sometimes comprising up to 50 or 60 elements and sub-project

Big Frame Example
An example of a large high-resolution map composed of many stills shot during
production. The stills are painted together in Photoshop or Commotion and
composited in After Effects. This allows for painting and tilting during
the compositing even though we were looking off the set. This eliminates
the need for motion control.
