VIP Demo
Pamela Anderson's syndicated action comedy. The demo reel is a sampling of some of my favorite effects from 52 episodes.

Responsible for pre-production design conceptualization, on-set direction. 16x9 finish. 800+ shots on a tight time frame and budget.
This series used the full range of visual effects for broadcast TV. Most of the driving and helicopter interiors were green or blue screen (even red screen -- never again) with the backgrounds meticulously tracked. Reflections were added to windshields and the background focus was matched to production footage.

Sometimes Pamela
Anderson would shoot her scenes on the bluescreen stage
and we would match them to the rest of the scene. The
Primatte keyer was the best software for this. There
was always fine hair detail that needed to be flawless.
As the series went on and V.I.P.'s creators became accustomed to our high standards and capabilities, they trusted us to deliver high-volume, high-quality, speedy and thrifty 3D animations, mattes, explosions, tracking, 2D composites, photogrammetry, tiling, repair and many stunt wire and rig removals. Being an action show, there were many opportunities to blow things up and commit digital mayhem on a budget.
Each sequence supervised on set, finished here by me with
the help of digital artists Connie Conrad and Jared Sandrew.
The music track is Water from a Vine Leaf by
William Orbit. I've always loved this song and it seemed
right for V.I.P.
